Cyber Wellness
Cyber Wellness (CW) refers to the positive well-being of Internet users. It involves an understanding of online behaviour and awareness of how to protect oneself in cyberspace. Please click here to learn more about the MOE’s approach on Singapore’s Cyber Wellness Education in schools.
To develop St Nicholas girls into discerning and responsible ICT users who are able to protect themselves and be responsible for their well-being in the cyberspace.
At SNGS, we take a holistic approach towards Cyber Wellness based on the following framework:
Programmes

Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP) CW Lessons
Form and Co-Form Teachers will go through targeted Cyber Wellness lessons with their form class. Below is a summary of what each level will be learning:
Primary 1 - Surf Safe
Primary 2 - Basic Netiquette
Primary 3 - Stay Safe in The Cyber world
Primary 4 - Handling Inappropriate Content and Copyright Issues
Primary 5 - Netiquette and Cyberbullying
Primary 6 - Disclosing Personal Data and Negative Digital Footprints -
Cohort IT Training at The Lower Primary Level
We conduct IT trainings for our pupils starting from the lower primary levels to build an early awareness about Cyber Wellness issues.

Assembly Talks (Term 1)
We conduct assembly talks to introduce the Safer Internet Day as well as raise awareness of the basic netiquette and current safety issues on the Internet. -
Trainings for Media and Cyber Wellness (MCW) Reps. (Term 2-3)
Annually, we bring our P3-6 MCW representatives through a series of Cyber Wellness Training to build and upgrade their learning in areas related to CW. These representatives will be equipped with the relevant and necessary skills and competencies in order to serve as our school’s CW advocate at both the class and school level in addition to their current role in supporting the teachers in areas of ICT in the classroom.

Cyber Wellness Fair (Term 3)
The school organises a week of cyber wellness fair for pupils to explore and discover more about cyber wellness. They will have the opportunity to learn through games and quizzes created by the Media and Cyber Wellness (MCW) Representatives from Primary 3 to Primary 6.
